Well, I guess nobody is going to address my question. Nobody tagged. Not even a snarky remark from someone telling me to read something I missed. Blog post points to Discord, and on Discord people just ignore the question. Very nice experience. It'd be one thing if I were asking to cut the line, to get into a closed beta. I just wanted submission confirmation, which I would have otherwise assumed could have been done automatically from the Google Form. I guess I'll just wait to see if I ever hear back, or wait for it to go GA.
I have a client, they want to me to build something on the automatic face cropping feature. I told them it was a closed beta and that there was no guarantee of when it will be available. They've been asking for an ETA, and I told them I don't know. I re-applied, because I received no confirmation after the first submission. They are still anxious to offer the benefits to their customers, and they keep asking. Not pressuring, just excited. So, I get on Discord assuming somebody could give me something to tell them - a week, a month, a year, the beta is not accepting any new people until GA, something. Anything. I don't really care. But, instead, I'll be telling them that Cloudflare betas are not administered to the same level as their GA products. You apply, you get no confirmation, no ETA, and no communication. I love Cloudflare products, but I won't mention a beta to a client again. Super poor experience. Guess that's my bad for not understanding this is what beta means here.
