Black screen on games

Using the nvidia-open image and I frequently run into a weird issue where full screen games just show a black screen. Weirdly, if I alt-tab out of them, the picture comes back but goes back to black once I click on the game and bring it back into focus.

Once the issue occurs, it is consistent with every game until I reboot.
