has anyone like encountered similar issue? the image transform via url works, but via worker { cf : { image: {}}{ cf : { image: {}} only returns the original image (which is very painful for me btw, if the image transform fails, it should indicate in the status code that it failed and why it failed); the worker is deployed to a custom domain (for example: https://images.example.com), so not the worker.dev issue.

current work around is just to fetch transform via url, but that in itself is a pretty hacky solution

The docs talk about being careful with global variables that are derived from environment state/variables because it is possible for the

env

object to change without restarting the isolate instance (see https://developers.cloudflare.com/workers/runtime-apis/bindings/#making-changes-to-bindings).
The docs also mention that the same instance of the

env

object (equal by reference) should last between requests as long as the configuration is unchanged (and of course so long as the isolate instance remains I assume, see https://developers.cloudflare.com/workers/runtime-apis/handlers/fetch/#parameters).
Therefore it seems like a natural recommendation to just store "global variables" on the

env

env

object, rather than

globalThis

: whenever the config changes, that state will be clobbered as it should, but will otherwise live on between requests same as

I've been doing this for a long while now and it seemingly works great with no problems. About to go to prod.

Because it is streaming. Workers may not have enough memory to hold an entire HTML DOM Tree in memory along with everything else.

Hey all. New to Cloudflare workers and pages. I have a static website but would like to use a worker call for a request of a large image asset stored in Cloudflare R2. What are the best security practices for workers? I am assuming the worker is deployed publicly and the link is revealed to anyone who reads or scrapes my .js file. Is the best secuirty just CORS policies in the worker itself?
