I would just do 2-4 variants in Blender/whatever DCC you use, then place a few manually and duplicate them further in groups.

AWe have the tool Grid Scatter, but it's not quite helpful to do this type of pattern right now. This is something we want to improve fairly soon, fwiw. Ideally, you'd have the ability to offset n rows or collumns, which is perfect for this use case.
BI am most definitely not a blender aficionado! I was thinking about using a blend tool with moss or something
Ayou can even do this with UE's modeling tool tbf; it's just a cube with slightly beveled corners and then you duplicate it all around

AI was thinking of dash have a sort of material layering system using the newer stuff from ue which can automatically be added to existing asset materials, so we can have more consistent material effects across props on the scene. Though not sure if its possible or valid. Hehe thanks

DHey, yee the Megascans assets from FAB are not the same as from UE-Bridge, so it ain't as simple as just moving them like you tried. But we are working on proper support for FAB/Megascans and hope to have something to share soon So stay tuned!

Getting some links would be greatDRight now you would have to treat it as any other custom assets, i.e, add them to your UE project and then in the Dash Content Browser, go to the Current Project tab and compute the folders there. It will give you access to CTRL drag and drop, but you won't have Material Edit or Blend Material abilities, unfortunately. No way of getting that right now
DYou can of course drag in and place manually assets from our Content Browser, but that it more suited when placing a few assets, not much grass/flowers on a terrain. May I ask why you don't want to scatter? Just so I understand your thinking here?
We have not built a foliage painting tool, as the UE foliage painter is quite good actually, so using that is always valid if one does not want to use scattering We do have our Physics Painter tool, but that would be more suited for Rocks etc, instead of grass/flowers

We have actually not shipped FAB support yet, so right now you can't add/adjust displacement through Dash on the FAB assets, only assets downloaded through the UE-Bridge plugin I am afraid!

DThere is not I am afraid, honestly not sure if it would be possible even, but noting it down as a request!
For now, if this is something you would need to do often, I would either save a preset of the terrain etc, before doing the conversion, or I would duplicate it, and convert the duplicate. Both duplication and preset is located in the tool menu in the Tools Panel

You can definitely work together with your brother! Depending on what you will do with Dash there are a few things to think about, you can read some basic info here: https://docs.polygonflow.io/getting-started/getting-started#sharing-the-level-with-someone-without-dash
Basically, if you use Dash meshes (terrain, vines, roads) you need to either convert it to static meshes for him to see it, or he can have the plugin without a sub, as you suggested
