Update Problem: After update to the latest beta my collective base does not work any more for the HPG helis. Is there the possibility to go back to the latest firmware version? Was totaly OK for me.

its not the firmware. Something changed in MSFS recently where there is a significant delay getting the telemetry data related to the trim release lvars. I've tried correcting for this in TelemFFB. It works but it still isn't quite right.

Make sure you have the collective trim release button bound in TelemFFB. That was not strictly required with previous versions.

Try a previous build like https://github.com/walmis/VPforce-TelemFFB/releases/tag/20240908 and see if it works as before (just unzip anywhere and run... ignore the update message). You might notice a delay when engaging/releasing collective TR. In fact, I would be very interested if you don't. I still can't determine if the issue I am seeing is only me or something that changed in the sim.

Thank you very much for your efforts. The function is back. It ist the same feeling as befor - with the delay. I finished my collective base only 10 of 15 days ago and I am quite shure I have this delay from the beginning. So I am afraid I cant help with the question if it came up with a change in the sim.

@walmis Did you do the diode test? It's a bit different as it shows whether the signal reaches the grip electronics. That will confirm whether there's no issues in the connector itself.
Now have done diode check and can confirm that the jst - grip is ok I get a reading of between 599 -660 on GND to each other pin
Im tearing my hair out at this, managed to also break a pi. On my warthog grip during all this diagnostics but my f-18 grip is showing the diode check is good

Does anyone else experience some fairly violent shaking when flying the F-4? It's fine while I'm doing startup, but as soon as I get in the air over 200 kts it's jumping back and forth, left to right, fairly hard....it's tough enough that it's preventing me from flying the F-4 in anything other than a traffic pattern...any ideas on which part of TelemFFB to shut off?

I had to turn Jet Engine Rumble and Afterburner Rumble (or something like that) down quite a lot for the F4 or I got too much shaking. Think I ended up with them on 8 and 12.

No, that is not normal at all. There aren't even any TelemFFB effects that would do that.

Look at the TelemFFB monitor tab to see a list of which effects are active.

Also, post your configurator settings including the expert settings section (expand out the Dynamics/low pass/notch sections if you are running the new v1.0.17).

@walmis Since I updated to firmware v1.0.17b4, and Configurator v1.0.17b2, I am only getting damping when moving the stick left, or forward. Aft and right, there's no damping, and the stick springs very quickly past center, then centers with the damping from the opposite direction.

@walmis Thanks again for the help earlier. FYSA, the problem returned after a computer restart. Loading the default configuration and applying fixed it again, so not a huge deal, but curious why it would come back after a computer restart. For reference, I unplug the joystick, and engage the stop button when not in use as I don't want to burn out the motors.

AFAIK, the F-14 doesn't model any dynamic forces in its FFB implementation (I don't know if it should or not?).

The spring dynamics settings in configurator will only be effective in adjusting the applied gain if the sim is modifying the gain... If the spring gain from the sim is static, the dynamics setting won't do anything.

I have telemffb set to have dynamic forces based on G loading from 1.1 to 10Gs using a curvature of 1 instead of the default 2.2. it works great for the F-14, F-18 and F15E.

I would have thought that the F-14 should have dynamic forces affecting it being a non FCS jet. Having tested the spring dynamic s settings seems you are correct in that it might make the stick have more spring resistance but there is no dynamic adjustment of the feel of the stick at different speeds, which is disappointing, but can be partially replaced by the dynamic G force effect although not exactly a great replacement. I'm in the middle of making a first impressions review to be quickly followed by a sectional review of the different types of aircraft in DCS and the benefits of having a FFB base in particular the Rhino in all of the different types of aircraft. With the F-14 being a Heat Blur module I would have thought they would have had this effect in their telemetry. Plus the offset of the F-14 stick makes it very difficult to fly at times having little pitch movement left available after trimming in certain flight scenarios.

Since the F-14 is one of my favourite modules having now flown it with FFB it's dropped down my list of fun jets to fly due to the lack of dynamic feedback. Maybe with future upgrades and FFB now becoming a thing for flight sims ED and MSFS and the third party developers will add full telemetry to all the modules in their sims. Not their fault since we have had nearly zero FFB equipment available in flight sims unlike the Sim racing community! But I can see it becoming a big thing now with several manufacturers bringing it out and at an affordable price!

Thanks I already use the G force effect in that manner although it's not a great replacement for the dynamic effect we should have of the controls at different speeds. I'm not sure what you mean by a "curvature of 1.0 instead of the 2.2" Is there an adjustment that can change this other than the start and end G ratings and the 0>100 strength factor that I am missing. Any help appreciated.
