Been working with the bruce firmware here https://github.com/pr3y/Bruce I have had fun with BLE and WiFi. It is easy to clone an access point and get devices to connect to it in guise of the legitimate network. You can show feed them custom HTML to steal credentials. It is scary what malicious actors can do with search devices. I just got the Nordic nRF24L01, I will connect it to test our bruce's nrf jammer.
Hi Everyone, My self Dhruv, I am an IOT engineer from Pune, India. My tech stack includes Python, Raspberry Pis, Communication protocols, Industrial Automation, AWS IOT and Docker, Kuberenetes.
currently I am working on FEIG payment devices, which uses nfc cards for the metro rail ticketing systems. other part I am working on linux background services for my python scripts.
Nice. I also work in payments. With EMVco type payment devices most running on top of a embedded Linux OS. At what level do you work bare-metal, RTOS or embedded Linux?
Actually I am working on top layer. not inside the feig device itself. so, basically I had a top layer code which is already working. I am trying to understand the code, flows only.
Oh wait I see. We are talking about two different UPIs. On my end it is UnionPay, they also call it UPI on your end it is the Unified Payments Interface. Tell me about it.
This was mainly introduced because lots of corruption was done using cash. So when the gov suddenly replaced top currency notes. it gave more push to use UPI
so unlike MasterCard and VISA which takes a cut from every payment from UPI, it doesnt take anything from anyone(buyer, seller, app that integrated UPI)
NFC which dhruv was talking about is different in this context that NFC is meant to be only used within Metro stations Every station entry and exit have card reader that help with this
if you want to update the amount, you would need to give to the counter present there to update it.
