Is it a bad idea to have a DO that subscribes to a Graphql stream indefinitely? It would be responsible for creating new DOs and broadcasting to them from results in the stream. Running 24/7

It's not a bad idea per-se? You just need some logic to handle reconnections in the event you are disconnected from the stream

I've seen a small spike of 524s (origin is CF Pages) and a single user-reported 1015 (we don't really have legacy rate-limiting enabled). I'd assume from the timings that it's related to https://www.cloudflarestatus.com/incidents/41sj47j4508f but posting in case anyone's seen anything so far

they did but not sure if extremely high / necessarily higher than other days of using the sites quite a bit. Have you seen internal worker (or pages) rate limits applying? (e.g. 3.2k in a 15min span doesn't sound that large for something that will download assets/etc)

Might be worth checking out your WAF events and see if that user ran into blocks that has workerworker as rule name - If so, then they're triggering Cloudflare's anti-abuse system for workers

Ah yep, a simple support ticket should do then. Ran into it myself a couple times, and they'll just increase the limit on their side and you should be good again.

Workers don't have threads, so you can't run things in parallel. Note that you could do a Promise.all() that calls one or more Durable Objects but it wouldn't be a thread per-say, it would be a whole other instance of a DO.
