Android app crashes when playing videos
Hello. I'm not really sure if this is the correct place for this, but for the last few months I haven't been able to get video playback working in the Immich Android app. For months on every video I've tested, it loads for a few seconds and then goes to a light gray screen. As of the most recent app update, attempting to open any video crashes the app.
When using Immich on my phone's browser and my PC browser, all videos play without issue.
I've re-encoded all videos numerous times. I've also set it to do transcodes for all videos to h264, no matter what. Still to no avail. I don't really know what to do at this point because otherwise the app is great.
Also for reference I'm reverse proxying Immich over https with Caddy's internal tls.
Thanks!

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close
command, and re-open it later if needed. Are you using a self signed SSL cert?
Seems like yes based on “internal TLS”
Sigh
I just found that in the FAQs that it linked. I've looked at those before but must have missed that.
I have it setup now with a CA-signed cert. Then some videos worked but others crashed the app still. So I re-encoded all videos again and now they are all working great! Sorry for the wasted post lol. I appreciate the help tho.
Just curious, why don't videos playback correctly with self-signed certs?
Some flutter thing, idk
Unlikely to be fixed any time soon I think
