AHow do I access a surface scatter after a long time? I have a surface scatter and I want to add to it, but when I select it and try to edit, it no longer seems live. What are the steps for this? Thx.
DYee as Sergio said, you can open the list of Active tools and see if it is there. It is the icon/button on the top left corner inside the Tools Panel.
The fact that it don't auto appear can be cause the tool connection is broken, if you find it and open it, please check if both the scatter object and surface is still assigned

DAll our tools are unfortunately Editor Mode only, so you can't change parameters in the Sequencer like that I am afraid. It is something that we want to try to fix at some point, but it is a really hard problem unfortunately.

The tutorial is actually not 100% clear in this step, the thing that I think you are missing is that you need to open a new road tool and load the preset into that new road tool, I guess you are loading the road preset into your already existing road tool. Here in my video, I try to be more clear about the need to create a new road tool, assign the preset to it, and then assign the curve to the second road tool

DOur Extract Landscape Splines, will work in next RC/beta of 1.8.5
DYou are still viewing the new one, this pin being blue, means this is pinned, if you click that (make it not blue), and then select your rocks, the tools Panel will update and show you the path scatter you have created

BIt was actually super easy just use the copy a paste for the landmass brush tool! So I selected region I wanted to copy and paste it onto second landscape .!
