Hi! I am new to workers. Currently I build a worker to fetch an API and compare with the result fetched 5 minutes ago (with cron).

I am using KV to store that API result so that I can use it for comparison for the next call. Is there better way to store the result for use a? Is using KV/D1 a must?

One of the concern is KV write/day will be

24*60/5=288

, and this is not really scaleable if the free quota only has 1000 write/day. getting 4 API will exceed the free quota... and I probably need more only in testing stage.

Another question: may I know the reason why even when I am using dashboard to create a new worker (from Hello World template), the logging will automatically turn off when I publish a new version, even if I am not using wrangler in the whole project? Am I doing anything wrong?

If you want a load test or scheduled tests then you'd have to use something else tho, Grafana K6s could do that. Cloudflare itself has scheduled tests you can setup under Speed -> Observatory. Lots of other options out there too, depending on what you want exactly

My company is starting a new project and if I suggest that Cloudflare workers offer 100% availability, they will laugh at me. What's the true numbers? Help me make them convince to use Cloudflare Workers.

they do give 100% SLA (although the advertised one is for biz and ent zones, not workers), and if they laugh at you, tell them to look up what an SLA is - with a business plan, you get 1x service credits, with ent you can get higher depending on the contract

I am not sure if they would be getting Enterprise at first. I am interested in learning about the SLA for Workers Paid, which the docs say is not part of the Enterprise plan.

Workers Paid plan is separate from any other Cloudflare plan (Free, Professional, Business) you may have.

You get 100% SLA as part of a Business or Enterprise plan, if you just have Workers Paid on its own then you dont have the SLA.

And yes a 100% SLA sounds ridiculous at first glance but really isn't. It doesn't mean that Cloudflare will be up 100% of the time. It just means you'll be compensated for all of the time they're not, rather than just some of it.

Using AWS Lambda as a point of comparison, 99.95% SLA means they can be offline for up to 4 hours and 20 minutes each year without compensating any of their users.

Hey guys, I have a question regarding Cloudflare's cache API. I'm developing some features that will use the cache API a lot and I came across a rather curious situation:

I wanted to create several caches with different keys but I would like to use tags as well because even though each cache has an ID I wanted to have something (which in this case would be using a tag for this) to have a relationship. For example, imagine that I have a cache for a user with ID 50.
I create a cache with this user's information but I would like to put a tag on this cache that says "user" to identify what this cache represents.

When I perform a delete action I would like to use the tag to delete all caches with the "user" tag, thus deleting all related caches. Is this possible through the Cache API using Workers? Because today I only work with different keys from one to another and this has caused me problems in relation to these cases.

I am an Enterprise customer so I have access to several resources available from Cloudflare but I don't know specifically how to do this.

yes, but I would like to know if the delete function of the cache api (https://developers.cloudflare.com/workers/runtime-apis/cache/) would work if I only passed the cache-tag to delete. Is this possible or would this deletion by tags be directly through my cloudflare panel or only via the cloudflare API.
