Wizard of legend downloads wrong game?
I just tried to download and run wizards of legend from epic games store, it would not launch. After tinkering I tried adding it to my steam library and for some reason it downloaded Legend of the wizard. Strange huh? Anybody have any ideas? I'm confused 🤔

the image is probably wrong, the game is the right game
we look for text, if the match is incorrect we don't really know that and it can happen that it downloads the wrong image

In launcher it's right and I can't get it to boot, when I use the check compatibility in the launcher it brings me to legend of the wizard protondb page. Also added the picture from steam library just cause. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong if it's just an incorrect image. It boots to a black screen in and out of the launcher and I have tried most of the different proton versions.

first things first, can you run the game in desktop mode?
if not, explain what happens ("would not launch" is too generic) and share a game log

Thank you for being patient with me! 🙏 I got it running in desktop mode, I didn't even think to try that. I really appreciate it, I'm new to this side of gaming I have always been a home console player. 🤪
And it's working in game mode on steam deck! Awesome ty again!
