Can't add storage drive(s) in steam

im new to fedora and im pretty stupid

i installed the flatpack version of steam (beacuse i couldnt run proton on the version bazzite came with) and i just can't add drives in steam settings i click my drive and hit ok and nothing happens.

I feel like this is a simple issue but i dont use linux often let alone fedora

please help

If i select my steamlibrary folder (in my drive) it pulls up but it doesnt recognize any games nor my drive name (the one i set in windows)

we dont support flatpak steam, if you are hellbent on using it, give it permissions to the drive using flatseal, which you have not.

proton probably didnt work on the installed steam because its (and im blindly guessing with confidence here)
its an ntfs drive from windows. it will not work and is not supported as mentioned by the documentation

tried again with my new partition (exfat) didnt work
tried with my windows 10 steam library again and it launches fine

yes but we have kde partition manager (in kde) and gnome disks (in gnome)
but he uses it only to resize the bazzite partition

I didn't test GOG Galaxy, but every other first party launcher worked fine (Riot, Infinity Nikki, Arena Breakout etc)

You asked if you can just put all the files on the E drive on a usb and put them back after making the btfs partition. That's a backup and restore method of doing things and yes it should work
