I am not able to play guardians of the galaxy.

When I launched the game, it was showing 'launching' but after a sec, it goes to launch

no idea what to do there, according to the apple gaming wiki it works fine with crossover https://www.applegamingwiki.com/wiki/Marvel%27s_Guardians_of_the_Galaxy (the paid version of crossover)

heroic lets you install the latest gptk in the wine manager section in the sidebar, you could try with it too

I don't think so, crossover is more like whisky, parallels runs windows in a virtual machine

I don't know how you would even run heroic on parallels (since it runs windows maybe you need to install heroic ni parallels?) worst case you can import the game, no need to download it again (in the install dialog there's an Import Game button, you have to point heroic to the installation folder and it won't need to download anything)
