Hi, can you do a quick test with the older v16 firmware? That will help me to isolate the issue. Don't forget to export your current settings.

I must specify that i own 2 different F-18 sticks and one brand new, and it happens with both of them. I also own the Virpil Warbrd and the VFX, and if I plug them, and set the proper stick type in VP Force configurator I am faced with the same exact problem

first time I received the VPforce month ago, i had the same issue, and for some reason after 1 hour of doing tries, it worked. but i dont really know what fixed it back then. Then I started using another FFb base to try. now I want to come back to the rhino and I am facing this again

confirmed. Also, if I plug the base with no grip attached, bith the VP configurator and windows game controller show all buttons in RED/activated

Try wiggling the cable and plugging back the connector block - see if the buttons stay off

you know whats funny ? the reason I came back to the Rhino is that my other FFB had stopped workijng because the cable was pinched too tight by some cable tie and created the same type of problem...

I kinda suspect this could be at the connector, the insulation is pretty thick on that cable

Ok, here with the good news. I identified the issue. One of the leads contained in the main cable wasnt fully seated/connected in the plug, that then goes into the connector, to wich the grip is connected. I suspect it was either creating a short, OR, missing one contact from the 5-6 leads( i didnt count how many they are and I dont know how they work, but of coruse you need all of them for the whole sytsem to work)

long story short, I pushed it in to seat it in properly, so that it makes contact. and now it works. will it last ? I dont know.

i dont think i have the tools to install a new plug that would make sure that all the leads are firmly attached to the plug, but for now it seems to hold.

of course, id be glad to purchase a spare cable from you, so that in case the issue arises again, i will simply swap the cable. I am willing to pay for this, as this is normal wear and tear. nothing to do with a defect or anything

I was talking about those connecting the shaft to the gimbal. Just check every screw you can access there.

This one? How would i even go on to access it? Sure i can put a finger in but i can't exactly reach it with a screwdriver. Do i need to remove the whole gimbal from the casing? (Or the other way around?
