Hey Mike, I'm building a custom H135 cyclic right now and encountered the same issues. checked everything twice redid all my connection; I was able to measure 5v coming all the way through my buttons. What I didn't know; you need to apply 24v to the rhino too to have the button presses registered. I hope that fixes your problem as well!

Hi, I bought a while ago the ffb kit with usb board and couple of motors. Currently (first try) the board beeps, the led flashes once and windows states that usb board not recognized. This was kept in the ESD bag until assembled to base.

OK so I decided to take out the Shift Register and VPF main board out of my DIY collective and make up a test setup as per pic attached. This way no way there is any possible wiring issues. Just the one button to test. Nothing! no reaction to btn press.......zilch! Double checked wiring and continuity all good!

Yes tried with motor connected as well.......see attached pics.......same result, No response to button press.....ZILCH! I guess the Shift register is faulty or something fundamentally not making sense here......Unless @walmis can suggest a fix I'll have to go and try to get warranty return (new item) or look at going with a Bodnar board....which I really don't want to do as the extensive wiring has been done for the shift register....really disappointing outcome.

Ok with just USB connected and on the VP main board shorting data in (D1) with GND causes 24 out of the 48 button positions to light up only.

Okay, not sure - wiring looks correct, maybe the s/r is indeed faulty.
Can you try soldering a wire from GND to any of the S/R Dx pins - it should light up a button constantly for debugging.

Hi! Quick question: since the new Firmware and update, I'm having a mini problem with the Taog Huey on msfs2024. I have a mini lag when I click my TR and it releases the force...I didn't have that before.
Now I've recalibrated my FLANKR and readjusted my various effects and parameters, but it still persists. I'd say it does that 99% of the time. And that's just with this helicopter.
If anyone has any ideas? Thanks

Hi @walmis......not sure what you mean.....I gather Dx means any of the 32 pins on the SR....right? Is that not the same as wiring a switch between gnd and a pin ....like in the pics I showed above? Pressing the switch shorts gnd to pin (unless I misunderstand your request).......in which case no button in the configurator lights up.

I also tested gnd pin on SR (red probe in diode mode on multimeter) and black probe to each data pin and i get 760mV. (as per following instructions: You can check if the pins are making contact on the grip side by following these steps:
1. set multimeter to diode test ( -⯈⊢ )mode
2. disconnect the JST plug, and with the multimeter red(+) probe touch the GND pin on the JST exposed pad
3. go through all other pins with the black(-) probe - it should read 500-800mV if not, it's not making contact it will read OL)

No, cross checked all the usb pins for shortcuts. As told, the led flashes, the buzzer beeps twice and then led shuts down
