Debugging mobile app stuck on "Building Timeline"
I was trying to see if I could contribute by adding a feature in the mobile app, but I get stuck with the loading icon and "building timeline" when running the dev-version on my phone
flutter run -d <device>
installing the app from google play works great. I even tried building a local release with keystore, but same thing happens. I do get to see the faces on the named persons in the dev app, so I am in some ways able to talk to the server.
Checking the logs and comparing the original app, in the dev version I get:
Error while checking server availability
Error getting user information from the server
Unable to get user information from the server
...
is there something I have missed that I have to alter to allow the app to talk to my server?
I have given the app the permission to see photos and videos (but the images is shown in original app even without this setting!)
I did uninstall the original app before installing dev, so I cannot see a problem there either.
I am only using external libraries on the server, but that shouldn't matter...
One thing i noticed is that when selecting the upload btn in the app, I am not able to see the local storage folders on my phone for selecting to upload. It cannot find a single album on the phone, compared to the original app that finds loads.3 Replies

Even though the server and mobile had the same release-numbering they had diverged!
git pull
for the mobile code and docker compose pull
did the trick! closingThis thread has been closed. To re-open, use the button below.
