Thanks for replying. I am accessing it on /cdn-cgi/ and I am on free version. I got no issues paying just dont want to sign up to test the speed. I am comparing on my proxied site. An image served from the server using norma src="/images/test.webp" for eample and then an image using /cdn-cgi/. 80 ms for the /cdn-cgi/ version. 70ms from my normal one. Its not slow but I thought it would be faster. Especially after reading this one https://medium.com/@nfarina/hosting-and-transforming-images-at-scale-with-cloudflare-1aaeb97651bc
The end-result for us is that a “new” request to transform an image that Cloudflare has never seen before takes about ~500ms. A request to get a transformed image Cloudflare has seen, but at a new size, takes about ~150ms. And a request to get an image that Cloudflare has already served up at the size you want takes ~9ms.
