IDK about enforcement, but it is needed so that the model can assign the proper value to the proper properties. Since all this AI stuff is probabilistic it is possible that it can work without the description, and then just as easily not work.

Tried image generation today, some feedback:

would need 9:16 aspect ratio, only 1:1 is supported
type issues (@cf/black-forest-labs/flux-1-schnell@cf/black-forest-labs/flux-1-schnell is not available as a BaseAiTextToImageModelsBaseAiTextToImageModels)
for schnellschnell, p90 latency should be ~500 ms, not seconds
bindings based api is nice!

Sry is i missunderstand, but i am RN on the free plan, using my 10.000 AI Neurons a day and ran into a problem

The LLM response seems to be arbitrarily cut off at 500 tokens.
is there such a policy? is there a way to disable this or is it just a code issue on my part?

Has anyone tried tool calling with Deepseek-R1Deepseek-R1? When I tried it,the model simply returns a normal response as if tools where not specified. I used the schema that works HermesHermes and LLamaLLama, and I have also tried the schema shown here: https://api-docs.deepseek.com/guides/function_calling. But neither work.

This tutorial provides a good overview, I've been able to get it to work with LLama3LLama3 and Hermes MistralHermes Mistral. Hermes is used in the tutorial.

For tool calling I find that HermesHermes performs best. It produce reliable results, but even it can at times provide a messed up response (but it is rare).

We have thousands of users of our service complaining because the users LLM requests are being blocked when trying to use Anthropic from a supported country using the AI gateway through a CF Worker, but the issue is they are being routed through a HK server (Which is not supported by anthropic), so the users end up getting blocked. What can we do here to fix this critical issue @Walshy | Workers/Pages ?

Hi, congratulations on the Agents SDK launch. I checked the source code and it looks like it’s based on Durable Objects and one of the examples makes a fetch request to an AI provider, but aren’t Durable Objects charged based on wall time? Makes me wonder if DOs are really suited for these long running AI requests from a pricing point of view. Is this expected to change anytime soon?
