Event Freezing
When trying to choose alert event based everything freezes up and you have to restart the browser, if you try to choose event based again it freezes all over again.
Using PC with Opera GX Browser
seems to only freeze when using Opera GX

Yeah I don't think we can support Opera GX at the moment 😦
its strange cause everything else works fine, it was only after the goals was added that i started having issues with the events freezing
I have been making improvements and upgrades under the hood so it could have been that
... but even Twitch doesn't support Opera GX

yea, i watch twitch with GX, everything i do is with Opera GX since i found it awhile back
It's based on Chrome so if it works with Chrome, it should be work
i get no errors in the console for GX developer tools network is very limited as after you select events it completely freezes
and everything in there is either a 200 or finished
Just updated it to the lastest version and still having the same issue. but i downloaded chrome to do any overlay expert stuff until things get figured out

i cant even choose one when i change it from always show to event it freezes up

You can try clearing the cache too
nope no browser extensions, works with google chrome too in incognito

overlay.expertworked for chrome just clearing cache for Opera GX now to test
clearing cache fixed it for both browsers

even after restart its still the same issue, i know the website is still active cause the hearts are still floating around my avatar in the top right

when i go into incognito theres only the saved copy
Yeah that makes sense because if you open and edit without saving, it gets saved to local storage, but incognito will start from a clean local storage so you won't see any in-progress overlays there

It's overlay I did when I switched to CanadienDragon so about a year year and half
If i leave it there long enough I get a pop up saying the page has stopped responding but I can see the hearts still moving around my avatar it will eventually time out
hmmm deleting the modified version of the overlay seems to have fixed it
even opera gx is working now
the modified version must of gotten corrupted so much that nothing would work, i even tried creating a new overlay and it gave me the same issue, now that i deleted the modified version everything is working again
It’s still strange but happy everything is working again

Hello, i'm using overlay.expert and it's wonderful, but i also face a bug when i try to setup a layer with EVENT-BASED trigger 😦 with Firefox, Chrome or Edge on my Windows 11 it's always freezing too 😦 I try to go in private mode too, but still the same bug ... any idea how i can fix it ? thanks a lot for your help and all the great work done !
(PS: Yes i clear the cache and all site data from Dev console -> Application -> Storage )
@zehunter38, is this a relatively new overlay or an existing overlay you’ve had for a while? Can you post the builder URL?

In event based it would be great to have "Stream start" event 🙂 I created a layer as a waiting page when i start my stream, but today i need to run a command to show it 🙂 it can be good to have this event, like that it will be possible to show a full screen layer like other overlay tool do 🙂 what do you think ?
