Connectivity Issues with Cloudflare R2 Files for True Internet Users in Thailand

Hello everyone,

We’re experiencing an issue where a customer using True Internet in Thailand is unable to reach our Cloudflare R2 files. Here are some details of our troubleshooting so far:

Issue Summary:

Customer ISP: True Internet (Thailand)
Problem: Accessing Cloudflare R2 files fails for the customer, though the same files are accessible via other networks.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

  • DNS Verification: Confirmed that DNS resolution for the R2 endpoint is working (using public DNS like 8.8.8.8 shows correct resolution).
  • Traceroute Tests: Ran traceroute from the affected network. The results show timeouts and latency spikes at certain hops, suggesting potential routing or peering issues between True Internet and Cloudflare’s network.
  • Cross-Network Testing: Access from other ISPs (including mobile networks) does not reproduce the issue, further indicating that the problem might be ISP-specific.
Points for Discussion:

  • Has anyone observed similar issues with True Internet or in the Thailand region?
  • Are there known routing or peering challenges between True Internet and Cloudflare’s services?
  • Any recommendations for further diagnostics or configuration checks on our Cloudflare setup?
Looking forward to your insights and suggestions.
