Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel (No Launch Options)

This game has two options for launch, the game itself and the configuration tool. The Heroic Launcher is defaulting to the config tool without a launcher option to switch to the main game.

Based on my own experience, Steam offers you the two options (Launch the Game or the Config Tool) unless the launch option is specificially set in the game's settings on steam

To add context, I'm trying the GOG version on Heroic The reason its an issue is that the option to "save & launch" from the config tool just closes instead of launching the game. This was an issue on the Steam client as well. It will let you configure, but to get the game to launch on linux you need to be able to launch the main exe I don't know if this carries over to all the sequels

does GOG present you with this option? are there multiple exes to pick from?

Unsure at the moment. I don't have the GOG Galaxy client installed on this boot, I'd need to switch to Windows to check. As for the exe files Config is Sen1Launcher.exe (this is what Heroic is defaulting to) The game itself is ed8.exe

you can use the alternative exe setting to point to the ed8.exe file

i have this set atm - im just reporting this as issue though as it would be preferable to have the launch options available if possible actually - setting it to launch ed8.exe directly is resulting in nothing happening. but if i launch that exe outside heroic it loads fine. ill get some logs and post later

is there a file called goggame-__.info in the game install directory? can you share it here? it should include the different launch options maybe that game has a different format of defining the launch options that we are not parsing properly
