https://0x0.st/8M00.log
Firstly it crashed right away, after activating verbose logs it went a bit further (logos) but then crashed.

Tried Proton 9 and 8 and I get this.

Tried delleting the prefix and try again with latest proton, game launches then crashes when tutorial should start. https://0x0.st/8eLw.log

uncheck "preferSystemLibs": true,
this game works fine on my systems without much futzing at all
fascinating-indigoOP•3mo ago
There are no such options.

OK I get yet another bug... this game is utterly broken... https://0x0.st/8exv.log

that's just denuvo...
gotta wait 24h to try again

this game worked out of the box for me with umu and proton-ge latest
also in order to not cause the denuvo 24hr time out do not change proton or wine type randomly.
tomorrow: Select proton-ge latest, disable prefer system libraries in global settings (you almost never want this)

this would be addressable with GE-Proton
is the system libraries flag ignored when Proton is used, similar to the DXVK/VKD3D flags?
fascinating-indigoOP•3mo ago
OK, but I confirm I can't find such setting as "prefer system libraries" or the like...
complex-teal•3mo ago
it's an old Wine-GE setting. you should still disable it globally
It probably isn't affecting anything right this moment though
yappiest-sapphire•3mo ago
i dont have them in my config, no idea if it actually applies anything
apparently it is ignore with proton
fascinating-indigoOP•3mo ago
And I... still... have no idea where that is anyway...
yappiest-sapphire•3mo ago
dont worry about it.
its irrelevant. You should use proton-ge and umu. this game worked out of the box for me with that set.

I'm glad it did for you, it doesn't help me but I'm glad. :p

no what i mean with that configuration it should work, once your timeout is over.
basically in roughly 12 hours, you can: delete the prefix, set it to proton-ge latest, if it doesnt work, post logs, DO NOT DELETE the prefix OR change to another wine or proton.
you cannot do anything about the time out once you hit it.. and this happens with denuvo games when you delete the prefix, or switch to another prefix a certain number of times, which is why you should not change prefixes willy nilly.

I get it, cool, thanks.
OK tried again: deleted the prefix, check if it was set to proton-latest. Tried launching it twice, it looked like it didn't launch at all, I checked the log and had to enable verbose again, tried launching it twice again and only got a quick black screen each time. Here's the log: https://0x0.st/8enH.log
