Update Issue Fix

Big thanks to @junimo for the information on how to fix this issue.


  • Download the file attached and run with administrator cmd.exe like this:
    (if you click directly it just uninstalls vanguard, use the command line to install,use administrator cmd.exe and run it like this
    C:\Users\user\Downloads\setup_49.exe --install    )
Ensure that <user> is replaced with your own username

  • It should do a silent install, after like a minute go to C:\Program Files\Riot Vanguard folder and confirm vgk.sys file version is 1.17.1.49 instead of 1.17.1.47
After this, close the Riot client and restart it.
