Europa Universalis IV not working (EGS)
I'm trying to play EU4 through Epic, after Paradox launcher the game just stays stuck on the startup splash screen.
Using Proton 9.0-4 on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed

If I launch eu4.exe directly via Steam, it gets to "processing flags" and crashes after that
So, after thorough testing it seems like when launching the game (launcher or directly the .exe) through heroic it's stuck on the startup splash screen. Launching either on Steam gets to "processing flags" and crashes after that.
I've tried these solutions I found on google and they did not work
- set
multi_sampling=0 in settings.txt
- delete files related to loading flags
- examine error.log, which contains only this:
I don't have any mods installed.
I was able to launch the game yesterday after installing but I did not try restarting the game
it has only launched on the first launch
