actually: when creating a wildcard worker route, you do need to create a record with any IP address first so that the DNS resolves for the domain, the example uses 192.0.2.1192.0.2.1 which is an IP address that routes nowhere and is safe to use as a fake origin to put an originless worker on top of

Asssuming that the email address itself has been verified, I guess? You can't send to arbitrary endpoints from within the Worker itself though

For something like that, you will have to make the Google Workspace run at another address than the Email Worker (e.g. john.doe@google.example.comjohn.doe@google.example.com), and then point the MX for google.example.comgoogle.example.com to Google, and then make the Email Worker forward (e.g. from whatever@example.comwhatever@example.com) to john.doe@google.example.comjohn.doe@google.example.com.

With regular Bot Fight Mode? No. BFM is a heavy-handed tool, that you should only be using when actively being spammed by bots

That's an automated rule designed to prevent spam (the vast majority of spam bots send links to other, phishing Discords). Don't worry about the warning.
