(Re)taking course in the Summer

Hi all,

I was intending to retaking 2 of the courses I had failed in the summer, but it seems like I'm blocked from taking them.

Any help would be appreciated, I have emailed my Student Advisor as well as Service hub about this but just wanted some quick feedback on this ASAP.

It’s probably because you are classified as 3rd sem student (they are assuming you passed 2nd sem)
So you can only wait til open enrolment to retake old courses

Do you think the issue will persist on the open enrolment date as well?

No it should be fine during open
This is only because it’s early enrolment, meant to secure spots for students who are progressing normal and there are sections for mandatory courses

There is also section only meant for repeat student iirc

Tho while the 3rd sem assumption is accurate, you should probably message/email studenthub for situation during open enrolment

Also, the OSAP extension request form, that's supposed to submitted after I'm enrolled in my classes right?

You could submit beforehand

i have the same issue but i am a first semester student going into second semester. i have all pre-requisites for all the courses and got into 2 but couldnt enroll in the ones you posted (all classes have the same prereqs). do you guys have any idea what the issue would be?

try enrolling in the course section that says for 3rd semester students only

i was blocked from 2nd semester stuff bc i have transfer credits so the system thought i was a 3rd semester student trying to take 2nd semester sections but for those two courses, there are specific 3rd semester sections
