I'm working on a Service binding that several Workers call. Is there a way to identify which worker makes the call inside the service binding? for example, I have workers A and B, and both use worker C with a service binding. I'd like to know which worker is calling C inside it own code without having to pass an additional argument with a hardcoded value for the name of the caller.

so i'm looking at durable objects and I'm wondering why you guys don't offer something like the origin private file system API inside of a durable object/worker (or if it would even be technically possible). The current sql lite storage api seems like it would be a bit combersome to manage, especially at the edge?

I'm thinking of rolling my own edge solution if I can't get workers to do the job. I'm looking for the most cost effective solution that does not charge per million websocket messages or does the pricing based on something else like CPU usage/time. The demo 3 player game I'm currently using sends on average 3 million messages per week (with only 2 players connected).

Hi all, does anyone know if there is a way to get metrics about a worker execution? I am looking for requests, subrequests, and time cpu ms.

I am able to pull it from graphql apis, but I am tracking this information using workers engine, thus I am curious if there is something I could get this data after dispatching worker in my main worker.

Headers of response do not seem to indicate this information unfortunately. Though I have not checked headers from child-worker yet.

I'm trying to run nextjs app (empty, just installation) to compute worker. in deployment i'm getting this kind of errors:

I found where I can set the Build system version, both preview and production are on "version 2" which is node 18.17.1, pretty old, but I don't see a way to change that.

I used analytics but it doesn’t scale as it is only 300 requests per 5 mins! There is also no meta results similar to D1 after dispatching a worker. I feel like having a meta info as a part of a response after dispatching a worker is the way to go. I will look into tail worker, but it seems like a quite a workaround from a Quick Look based on what I need.

Ddarkpool has anyone tested this? If not I might give it a try to see if it works

Is there a reason you need that header? It's only used internally by Wrangler when using the local dev mode
