TMC 'extruder' reports error: GSTAT: 00000001 reset=1(Reset)
Hi all,
I have recently been hit with a spate of GStat errors on my T0 extruder (IDEX VCore4 400mm). I have searched far and wide for a solution, with my attempted fixes including;
- Swapper extruder motors between T0 and T1
- New extruder motor on T0
- Filament sensor swapped between T0 and T1
- Recrimped wire for the motor and filament sensor
- Disabled filament sensor in printer.cfg (commented out) & unplugged from T0 toolhead board
- Attempted with different filaments and when filament sensor was disconnected, attempted with no filament.
All with no success. I have noticed that the extruders have been very hot during a print recently, but swapping to a new extruder motor and immediately getting the error suggests my issue is not based in the motor. Likewise for the filament sensor.
I'm getting OTP flags on my Z1 and Z2 motors, but these have never caused the print to halt, and my queries on how to fix this issue have gone unanswered. If the driver were overheating though I would have thought I'd see a similar error for extruder.
Any suggestions on what else to try? I am running out of ideas. One post I've seen suggests that it is static that builds up on the motor due to poor grounding, but I have no idea how to correct this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

OTP flags on Z1 and Z2 means cooling is not sufficient for your drivers, no?
Swap the board between T1 and T0, see if it continues. If it stops, consider the board dead.
I think so. Trying to get better cooling in to the electronics box to address this.
As to the GSTAT error though, I have been battling now for 6 weeks with it, I have swapped the boards, torn down and rebuilt both tool heads swapping all components over and even swapped the USB cables. Just started a print and within 5 minutes "GSTAT Error". At this point I am at a complete loss for what to do, Ratrig aren't replying to my emails and I have what seems to be a dead machine.
I can accept that maybe parts are to blame with one print head throwing the error, but swapping everything over and still getting the error, I'm strongly suspicious that there is something else going on here. Any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.
I will also note that I have replaced the extruder motor and toolhead boards with new parts after swapping between the toolheads, but still getting the error.
I also don't think it's a chamber temperature related issue as it just errored with the door open, and I'm only printing PLA.
Doubt I'll be much help, but maybe I can clarify for the next person.
This error is always showing up for the T0 extruder?
If you swap the toolboards, it still shows for T0?
Does the error show up immediately on starting a print, or randomly in the middle of one?
heatsinks are applied to the toolboard?

my try nuclear and reinstalling RATOS and reflashing all the boards
