True, although I think the simplest and most reliable way for your use case would be calling it from a vps you have in a specific location or straight up proxying the request from those regions

yup and some other requests in the asia pacific region are sometimes routed towards hkg as well, even if the requester isn't in the country

Hi, are versions of @cloudflare/workers-types@cloudflare/workers-types released in hand with a new compatibility date? For example, @cloudflare/workers-types@cloudflare/workers-types 4.20250429 was released, does that mean you can now set 2025-04-29 as the compatibility_datecompatibility_date in Wrangler config? I know you can put there any date and it automatically falls back to the nearest one but I would like to move only to actually existing ones and don't know how to find out that a new date is available.

Hi @LordSilver , we're porting playwright-mcp to run in cloudflare workers, take a look at https://github.com/cloudflare/playwright-mcp (for now, you have to build it and deploy it yourself, but I hope we have a release in the next few days)

interesting. i guess you'll be able to use this directly even without the playground ai? let's say i create a worker with one prompt "search for X product and give me the price", then I pass a list of shops, i would like the worker to use the same prompt for each website in the list so i can find the shop with the cheapest price.

Yes, playground AI uses workers AI under the hood, so it should be doable. Playwright MCP contributes a set of tools that can be called by workers AI: https://developers.cloudflare.com/workers-ai/features/function-calling/

When I try to deploy a worker from the dashboard editor it’s reverting to the hello world default JavaScript. It was working yesterday. I’ve confirmed this in multiple browsers and by creating a new worker and it still occurs.

that sounds weird - so you're clicking on an existing Worker, then the edit code button, and instead of seeing your code you see the hello world template?

For better clarification, edit code then make some changes and hit “deploy” and the prior deployed version persists and the changes don’t save. Tried in Chrome/safari and new/existing worker and the issue is there.

For now I switched to deploy via wrangler which works fine.

Hi, I would like to ask: when I add a "noindex" rule to the _headers file for the *.pages.dev subdomain and redirect the *.pages.dev subdomain to a custom domain using Bulk Redirects, will the custom domain still be indexed by crawler bots, especially Google?

Here’s what I’m trying to do and I got it partially working;

I’m not sure where the best place to ask is.

We are a potential enterprise customer (CF) and use GCP. One of the biggest limiting factors for us in signing for enterprise and one of our projects is not being able to run a worker from a specific geo/colo.

It seems to work using a geo steered LB with an inner and outer worker so the execution of the inner worker can be shifted to say LHR instead of SEA (my closest colo).

Is there anything wrong with doing this or a reason why it won’t work?

I'm not sure what exactly you mean with using LBs in that way, but if you're going to go Enterprise, Cloudflare has a Enterprise only data localization suite that you can use to control exactly which locations can decrypt and serve your requests: https://developers.cloudflare.com/data-localization/regional-services/

So I recently tried building and deploying my backend and front end (node, next and typescript) into a Wrangler Worker. For some reason my worker's page is stuck on my "Loading Session" infinite loop because the /api/auth/session request isn't being made (from the network tabs and from logs). Is there a way I can look deeper into why this is happening?

I just found out that websites with workers + assets tend to be slower than pages on sequent navigations, since assets don't have cache with max-age

Will there be a way to set that assets return with specific cache-control value? It's weird that there isn't an option to add it directly, considering that most projects with frameworks build assets with max-age headers in mind.

After switching from Pages to Workers for my Astro site I can run deploy from local dev and everything works. However when I connect it to the GitHub repo the build fails with this message: "You have to fill in all your /.env environmental variables". Not 100% sure what's missing?

I got it to work, I just opened the network tab, copied the request to add some unrelated flag, and then changed it to nodejs_compat and just ran the curl lol. Shouldn't be this hard to do.

Afternoon,
I have a workers paid plan, for a pro site.
I'd like to enable Workers Logpush for my worker.
If I try to enable it via wrangler.toml I get:

If i try to enable it with a CURL request I get

Has anyone else experienced issues enabling workers logpush for a non-enterprise account.
So far searching cloudflare knowledge base and discord has only yielded suggestion that we could be on an older 'paid' worker plan somehow.
