My printer was turning on now it just crashed and turned off from working after the bed I tried to heat to 40 c first time running the printer it’s brand new ! Thank you for your help !

Had you tried to heat the bed before successfully?
What was the error message?
Are you on ratos 2.02 or 2.1?
no first time trying it it just crashed the power turned off
I updated it to the newest software from 3 weeks back around to the setup followed the wizard
does it power back on?
No both don’t turn on but it does have continuity

that isn't how you check if power is going where it should
Is the power supply putting out 24V?
Is the raspi getting voltage?
Is the octopus getting voltage?

It sounds like you have a multimeter, are you familiar with how to use it?
To some degree
Are you on 120VAC or 240VAC?
120
With the multimeter set to AC, verify that you're getting AC voltage to the power supply
Following that, set it to DC and verify that the power supply is putting out 24V
If all works what’s the next step
Then verify that the raspi is getting voltage. Try disconnecting everything from the raspi except power in. Then check that the octopus is getting power
Okay I’ll check any videos you recommend to follow
This is basic troubleshooting, following power and making sure its going where it should
If it was mechanical, why did it shut down? You said nothing happens when you power it on right?
figured out the issue was a tmc stepper on the wrong location ? now tho when homing the printer crashes into the x stop on one side ?
did you verify your endstops are working?

im in the process of doing that but im getting this error now
I tried moving t1 and it moving t0 agressviely then crashed
Its says its beacon issue but was just working fine, and i notice the beacon connector very loose in the port of the beacon even if i try to push it in seems loose ?
Power down, remove the beacon, check the connection and reset it, the reattach the beacon
i did still nothing now it wont get me to the main screen in mainsail it just tells me klippy trying to connect wait a few minutes

got it back up and running hopefully it goes smoothly but when clikc t1 it goes into some crazy mode where it crashes
everything works well for t0 but when i try the same thing on t1 it goes in crazy mode and t0 crashess its almost like the x endstop isnt read ?
test the endstop then
it thinks my t1 and t0 are the same head
Run through the configurator again, verify you have a T0 and T1, and not two T0
It seems to be using the same stepper which one should I put for the t1
I don't know a ton about IDEX, are you in copy mode perhaps? What happens if you try to just move one head?
It moves only the t0
What if you select T1 and try to move it?

It does change the template of t1 and t0 separate which means it communicating
What files have you edited?
none just follwed the wizard to flash everything and it all said it was good

all good with this error now was a wirring issue, the instruction show diffrent wiring set up to the end diagram
now trying to get through beacon calibration

If you can show where the wiring diagrams are different, we can point that out to the documentation people to get it fixed
the end diagram of the idex build differs from whe nyou buid following the steps of core xy/ hybrid as it reads as such on the manual perhaps its me haha but ill send them over through pm as well would you know anyone who sells chamber heaters i make one myself but thats kinda new domain for me and want to be safe ? Where can you find in ratos the heater bed min and max temp ?

i cant seem to triger the z endstop but the calibration starts soemtimes and stops and beacon is cailbrated ?
try ssh-ing in and run
ratos doctor. I think that kind of error suggests something is wrong with your macros/ratos files
If that doesn't fix it, drop your debug.zip file in herecould i share the ratos file ?

I see okay going to restart the hole process as originally was using the old manual then got told to do this manual I see the issue is it’s not mentioned in the cfg
Were you using the ratos 2.0 guide?
Idk new to rat rig got a question ? So beacon calibrated an offset for printing for or less and you can manually adjust if need be ?
