Lutris Battle.Net Error

Hello, I installed battle.net through lutris when I first installed Bazzite and everything worked fine, but then I got a battlnet agent error and I decided to reinstall battlenet in lutris. However I now get a similar error regarding Battle net Agent. I am using the Lutris that came installed with Bazzite

This is likely due to updates that come to the launcher and games which causes the thing to stop working via Lutris instead use Proton 10 by launching battle.net.exe via steam go to Lutris, right click on battle.net, browse files, go into c drive, program files and find battle.net folder, inside is the battle.net.exe file, add it to steam For me the path was: /var/mnt/games/Battlenet/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Battle.net/ after its on steam, right click, properties, compatibility, enable force the use of specific steam play and find proton 10 (beta)

the issue now is that I can't even get battlnet installed I assume I need to run the installer with proton 10? I will try to figure out how to do that

I was able to get it installed by going into the ProtonPlus app, Lutris, and by downloading the latest wine-staging-tkg (Kron4ek) which was 10.6 at the time. Then in lutris run battlenet (or the bnet installer) using that version of wine as the runner under runner options. This allows it to finish downloading/updating but setting the runner back to default still causes that error unfortunately so I've had to leave the runner to that staging-tkg version. May need to wait for a new version of vanilla wine.

When you did that did you have to install wine-mono? When I try to use wine-staging-tkg it complains about needing wine-mono. The only way I see to get that is adding a layer via rpm-ostree which I'd prefer to avoid, if I can.

I have similar issues in my end as well. Life is telling me to stop playing blizzard games 😛 When I install it with wine from lutris .exe I get the same error you have. I tried from lutris website battle.net and the launcher stop at 45%.

As far as I can tell you can cancel the wine-mono installer. Don't need it. Glad to hear it man!

I did not need to install the wine-mono. I cancelled the installer and it continued the battle.net installation automatically.

Or just install it and move on

then you have misunderstood it. you just click the install button no layering needed at all to install wine-mono when wine asks you to install it

(screenshot from random google search) all you need to do is click install here, and wine-mono would be pulled for you
