Battle.net and Hearthstone in Lutris
I hope this is okay. I'm going to post my saga to get Battle.net and Hearthstone working on my AMD, Bazzite Gnome system.
Issue 1: Bnet would install and launch but then the screen wouldn't render correctly. It would flicker and flash and occasionally give you a stable enough image to interact with it. I did manage to log in one time in spite of those issues but it seemed to just hang. I tried a few different things but the magic fix seemed to be changing my main monitors scaling to 100% instead of the 150% it defaulted to on my 32inch 4k monitor.
Issue 2: Hearthstone defaulted to full screen which didn't display correctly and tried span across both my monitors and again flashed and flickered. I wasn't able to navigate the UI enough to turn it off in the settings so I had to figure out how to edit the config file.
First challenge was even finding the config file. I eventually found it at the following path
/home/einstein/Games/battlenet/drive_c/users/[USERNAME]/AppData/Local/Blizzard/Hearthstone
then I had to figure out how to get it out of full screen so I booted to windows and changed my Hearthstone settings there. Don't ask me why but the following actually turns off full screen:
graphicsfullscreen=True
I also set the resolution using:
graphicsheight=1080
graphicswidth=1920
I did try switching to Proton-Experimental but that didn't seem to make a difference.
I tested it out and i have to keep it set to 100% scaling or things don't work. Something with Gnome scaling and maybe the multiple monitors doesn't seem to play well together.
