Cancelled usually means the client gave up due to timeout/too slow

All I need is for it to not change. Workers can periodically restart afaik and I can't have it change the content of the variable

i'm looking more for changing the content of the page its serving - in the defauly example they give while setting up the worker, we make a few fetch GET requests to other endpoints of the worker to retrieve random UUID and change the html content of the page

How long should it take for a worker to spin up puppeteer (cold start) (browser rendering) and hit a single URL and return the content typically? Excluding website loading time of course.

I’m trying to use a combination of browser rendering + queues + do to build a crawler for our internal use. Done the bulk of it. Should the browser instance live in DO or the queue handler?

If you re-use sessions, where you store the browser instance shouldn't matter much; https://developers.cloudflare.com/browser-rendering/workers-binding-api/reuse-sessions/

Thank you, I’ve read all the docs.

I’ll figure it out but what I’m finding is that it’s taking 15s before I get a response back, not sure where the issue is.

1. Basically have an api endpoint inside a DO that takes a url to open in puppeteer (any url has same 15s response time)
2. That gets sent to a queue
3. The queue handler launches puppeteer or connects to an existing session grabs the contents of the page and fetches to DO which resolves the initial api call.

All in one worker, it works fine. Session id is the same across multiple requests but it always takes a minimum of 15s.

The reason I’m using queues as this will grow into crawling our customers sites for compliance and need to test out the viability of using CF for this versus AWS/GCP/appify/etc

But I'm having a hard time to understand how can I deploy a full-stack application with both backend and front-end into one worker.

No, you create them with Wrangler/Terraform/Dash and then bind it to your Worker, deploy and then it has access

https://developers.cloudflare.com/workers/frameworks/framework-guides/nextjs/ is in beta, you can use Pages (not in beta) but everything is moving to Static Asset Workers. For the most part, it should look and feel like a regular NextJS app.
