Are those programs doing anything or just opening? That sounds to me like a memory issue
Have you updated your BIOS to the latest supported version?
Did you install the chip set drivers?
What GPU do you have, and have you updated the drivers for it as well?
Is Windows installed on an HDD or SSD?
Are the programs you're launching installed on an HDD or SSD?
One thing you can do is open Task Manager, go to the Performance tab, and then open one of the apps you know causes a stutter and see if your CPU or GPU usage spikes, that'll narrow down which one may be the issue
If neither seem to spike up a lot then it's either a memory or disk issue
the programs open, yes.. but for 1-3 sec system is freezing.. ya, i wasnt sure if cpu is the error or cpu has some issues
GG @Kaputtnique, you just advanced to level 6 !
bios is up 2 date.. checked few hours ago. Chipset drivers from maybe 1-2 months ago. i think its the latest 😄 i have a RTX 4070 (Which has problems atm too ..
windows is on a m.2
all programs i launch should be on the m.2
___
sometimes the steam list is just black (idk if dwm is problematic or gpu driver.. 😄 )

so, should memtest throw errors? or should i use my RAM with default values? to test ?
thanks for ur time to watch at my problem ❤️ 😄
at the net i found that my RAM is for Intel .. could be a possibility
but, i saw on my history.. i bought the amd expo kit

i was in bios and set to EXPO I .. atm the multiple programs that i open did without stuttering.. but i will test it more over days
Update the chip set drivers, reboot
Set power plan to "balanced", the chipset drivers and Windows itself will handle putting stuff on the 3d cache cores when using that power plan
Use DDU in safe mode to uninstall drivers and set it to not allow Windows to install drivers, then manually install the newest Nvidia drivers
ddu i would do mayyyyyybe later .. all other things i did now 😄
And you rebooted right?
Do you still have the issue?
What programs are you launching?
firefox with 32222222222 tabs thunderbird steam discord my edge app 😄
idk i may forgot to reboot xD (before i set ur things.. set in bios EXPO I .. and got no problems til now.. i will reboot later)
I mean yeah having a billion tabs open in a browser is going to cause issues even if they're all hibernated
I do the same with Vivaldi and my PC acts perfectly normal when it's not open
make sure you have the most RECENT chipset drivers, go into your BIOS and find an option "CPPC" or "preferred cores". Don't set it to cache or frequency set it to DRIVER. This allows the chipset drivers to properly assign the 3D vcache cores to the proper programs. If you still experience stutters you could also look at using something like ParkControl from bitsum (the same guys that made process lasso). I use that in conjuction with process lasso for the ability to tweak a lil bit more. Park control also lets you revert settings so if you feel it doesn't help you can always flip the switch back.
btw parkcontrol just stops cores from unloading and sleeping, it can make windows feel more snappy at the cost of a little bit more power since cores will not go into a deeper idle state (there are quite a few types of idle states).
i update drivers often 🙂
funny, i saw yesterday a video that said, i have to set it to cache for better performance XD
only in game but it will favour random programs to it too, the driver setting is best for gaming and app performance
especially if you multitask
yes
ill take a look in a few
well, where to find this CPPC ?
pbs or digi+ ?
seeing you have an asus mb you can use the search (should be top of the bios screen) look for cppc or preferred cores
Hmm, after set to expo 1 i cant get into bios easily 😅
i see, well it wont be in the tweaker menu it will be the next one to the right
youll have to go through every option in the list to find it, might even be in cpu settings. but it will only have either one of those names
Ill .. but my pc is boot right into windiws (buggy)
you enabled fast boot it would seem
Yes
3sec for bios
i just spam del as the pc boots til i see the BIOS
youll find the setting in the "advanced" tab
Yea, ma daughter was next to me ill look
Alrigut, set to driver
Was auto
ah yeah auto doesnt always pick driver, sometimes picks x3D or frequency, driver is best 🙂
Now i have longer boots for some reasoj 😅
Like 15 secs more (was before the same)
After set expo 1
because it has to re-train RAM as it was an important settings changed
Alright
Still booting 😅
😮
Ya, something is weird sometimes
Was after bios before windows
Cause power button pressed once nothing happend
odd
Well, maybe i need a bios geek for set my bios to good srttings haha
maybe heh xD
but i got banned from Ryzen OC Discord 🙂
oof, yeah i usually just use the overclock.net forums if i have problems, or even chat gpt
chat gpt is pretty good
yea, but i dont want to open a heart with chatgpt xD
experience is most better from a human xD
indeeed
uhh, what time is it at u ? 11 pm ? 😄
1am 🙂
9hours i guess
from germany to australia 😄
bit less voltage is needed now

thats good
GG @TweedReborn, you just advanced to level 3 !
but yeah i should probably go to bed, also xmp1 is asus' recommended timings for the RAM, xmpII is the ram sticks official timings (usually more stable). but yeah the driver setting for cppc should get you better performance and fps now and lets windows work with the drivers better.
xmp1 == expo 1 ?
well yeah the II is always the memory's official timings, 1 is usually the asus settings they recommend
i always use 2 with mine but i run 96gb so it can be unstable
never exceed 6000mhz if u can help it and keep the uclk/mclk 1:1 if you see that option, on multi chiplets like 7950x3d is helps a lot
6000 is the sweet spot for 7000 series
yos
but yeah going to sleep now xD let us know if the cppc setting helped your app performance 😄
i will upgrade my server to 64gb ram.. 32gb is enough for my gaming rig
sure, if i remember xD Sleep well and much thanks ❤️
You can enable Memory Context Restore so that your system doesn't retrain the RAM timings on every boot
Maybe later 😅
In bios?
Yes
Didnt came in yet into bios 😅😂😂
Where could i find it?
I found it
Power down enable also disabled?
Enable*
i have both now enabled
I would not recommend enabling Power Down for RAM
😮
So, only MCR enable ?
and Power Down -> Disable or Auto ?
I take it back, disabling it should be fine
Power Down -> Disable, yes?
ill take a look.. when i get into BIOS again.. have to gt th power plug out and back in .. after that i can into bios <.<
i think i have normal boot activated last time
You know you can press the DEL key when the system starts to enter the BIOS, right?
Keyboard doesnt initialize before windows boots xD
GG @Kaputtnique, you just advanced to level 7 !
That's not how it's supposed to work lol
i know 😄
ill try with my wireless keyboard today evening
last time that worked
but, power plug off should also work
Now i set it
Damn, after starting ddu and clean & restart bsod all the time with expo 1 🥶
Now installed gpu and chipset driver again 🤞
But same shit
1. Install this app called LatencyMon: https://www.resplendence.com/latencymon
2. Close out any apps that have those stutter / launch issues
3. Start LatencyMon and press the green play button on the top left corner of the window
4. One by one, launch one of the apps that you saw were having issues. Wait for that app to fully load, then launch the next one.
5. After launching a few apps, press the stop button in LatencyMon
6. Post the LatencyMon results here

Total wracked
Ddu killed my hole system 🥶
I use veeam for backups
But cant use this Backup.. always runs into bluescreen
Memory management
Reset your BIOS then try booting normally again, otherwise restore from backup
But also what do you mean DDU killed your system? Does it not boot at all, is it stuck booting into safe mode?
Ddu uninstalles all nvidia drivers ans maybe amd drivers
After that i Loop always into bluescreen
I set expo 1 to auto and the ram things on auto too
Ill try to restore my volume with veeam.. atm its not good xD
DDU only uninstgall what you tell it to
If you told it to uninstall Nvidia drivers, then it'll do that. It won't automatically uninstall AMD or Intel drivers, or anyy driver not releated to GPU's and audio for HDMI from the GPU's
I meant you should reset the BIOS to the base settings, don't apply any changes like memory overclocking
if it still bootloops after that then you should try a restore from backup
I do that stm

ahh, thanks god. its workin for now xD
