Wake from sleep display shows nothing like it’s disconnected

I have some experience with Linux but it’s very sparse from over a decade ago in Ubuntu Currently running only Bazzite on my system, I’m running a Nvidia 3060ti GPU. I’ve stuck to the stable branch of this version of Bazzite. Every time I put my pc to sleep, i cannot get any display when I wake it up. It’s clear the computer is running but there’s nothing on my display like it’s disconnected. I have to reboot the computer to get it to display I’m also on a AMD 7800x3d CPU on a Gigabyte x870i mini itx motherboard I’ve been trying to research this and I think I’m just unfortunate in catching a bug from Wayland that I didn’t have when I was dual booting from Windows 11. Is there any solution to this?

Okay I found a “solution” to this, when waking the PC hold CTRL ALT F1 and then hit CTRL ALT F2 and it will bring up the login screen. I don’t think this is a very elegant solution to this issue but so be it for now

Having the same problem, also on Nvidia (RTX 5080) with a AMD CPU (5800X3D). Appreciate the workaround, works for me too.

Funny enough the problem has not come back and I haven’t had to use this workaround since I plugged a hdmi cable to the GPU (it’s connected to my tv in another room), so some sort of handshake problem is there if you’re not using hdmi. My main monitor is using Display Port
