Yes but for my understanding it‘s because the workflow doesn‘t get bundled into the the entrypoint file related to the worker. In my Situation that‘s the error I get.

Guessing the best way would then be to setup a workflow with hono that it can use. Just didn't wanted to make an api and quite newbie to CF (like having trouble understanding the diff between pages and workers since they claim you can deploy a NextJS to a worker which I thought what pages was for)

So I already did that to be honest, but I don‘t think the way you expect it. I’ve created a separate worker for the workflow and added it as service binding to my astro Applications. Works Like a charm, but could be easier obviously ^^

I resorted to just doing fetches in seq. For context, I do about 64 fetches in parallel to endpoints that are usually cached, it's used to create the table in this:

elo rating and overall ranking. It's for 8 ball/pool. I have a friend who's built a more advanced version of the bot helping me and he suggested using railway to host it, but I found out about workers and wanted to see if workers is a good free alternative or just not the right type of tool for the job. My friend said he's not familiar with workers, so he doesn't know, so I thought I'd ask here. It's going to be the first bot I host, so I don't know if I should be using Workers or something else. it's gonna be a command like /matchend [username] or something like that, and the bot will send a message and the other person clicks confirm or deny. When the other person clicks confirm, it will update the database with both people's new elo rating

it's going to be a combination both the players' current elo and win rate. It going to retrieve the current elo and in rate from the database, and update it based on a formula. My friends bot takes into account the number of matches played with the other person, but mine will essentially be the same thing but only with a single round.

Quick question: Would I only ever want to use Workflows for an API call that isn't expected to finish promptly? I have several asynchronous APIs where I want the call to wait until they are complete. I like that workflows encapsulate steps, maintain state, and auto-retry... but I don't want the response to be "Here's an instance ID. Come back later for a response." I want it to actually wait on the response. Are workflows the wrong tool for APIs that are intended to respond quickly, or is there a way to await instance.response()await instance.response()?

I can make 20 free Cloudflare accounts and abuse the API while looking legitimate. Even if I have to buy a domain for each, that's what, $4/yr/ea?

As for the API key, it's going to be needed for the paid plan, so they might as well look to implement it in some way. Ask for email, provide key in response. KISS principle.
