check slope of tangent I'm pretty sure that's <root3 so if the slope is greater, it'll never intersect at two points
stormycloud

let me check The slope of tangent passing thru A is root 2

Yeah see the issue

Ya So now how do I get the less than root 3 thing
Opt

no, the condition given is >rt3 which is impossible tangent itself has a <rt3 slope, so it's impossible for a line with any slope >rt2 to intersect the parabola at 2 points
