Cruise Fits
I am going on a cruise in 7 days and I need some outfit ideas! I’ve gotten a couple things already which I will send but I just need a couple more things to buy.
im trying to plan my fights today and tomorrow just so I have a rough plan. Its a caribbean 7 night and there’s a couple shirts i need to wear because its a Disney cruise with my extended family
I just don’t know where to start tbh.
i have a couple button downs, not totally beach related though and i have a lot of jorts.
i also have no plan for what shoes to buy

Are you doing excursions on land?
You can probably get by just wearing sandals the whole time
i am doing 4 land excursions and i don’t have sandals rn and i don’t really wanna wear sandals at night on the boat

like i have a couple graphic tees and 1 hawaiian shirt and like a couple button downs
that sounds perfectly fine unless you're aiming for a specific look/aesthetic
yo I used to do Disney cruises I think there is one formal dinner??

But if you got space in your bag you might wanna pack something a lil nicer

Pack something nice - slacks and a blazer will do but I remember people doing suits
there’s not a formal night no 😔 but i might pack something idk what we’re doing.

So my recollection is work backwards based on your itinerary - they’ll have stuff on board for those who didn’t check but you don’t wanna get extorted for it (like pirate or stuff) unless you want the fun mouse ears bandannas and whatnot
Land excursions just pack weather appropriate, all occasion button downs would be good but you usually have a buffer to change if you’d rather get back on the boat and shower before dinner
so if you wanna go T shirt on land button down/hawaiian on boat that’s reasonable I think
what are your concerns with the shoes?
i’ve never worn like sandals or anything so i don’t know what to buy or how to style them
is it mostly beach excursions?

sandals…I’d prioritize finding ones that are comfy and can handle getting wet/sandy and picking the cutest ones of those at the store
I would pack at least dress slacks and button down. During my cruise, there was a fancier restaurant and your family might want to do a nice dinner and some photos after. Just to be safe

I personally don’t wear sandals often as well, but I like just having a decent muted color pair from any popular surf brand just in case. If you don’t wear them day to day, just go for a good deal on some brown, black, or dark green pair from like O’Neil, Quicksilver, Hurley, etc. They will probably get beat up so may not be worth it to go with something expensive, but definitely get something comfortable
Maybe check out like a Tj maxx for them to get a deal and make sure they don’t hurt your feet
