I failed to renew my domain with Fasthosts, and it was subsequently released to GoDaddy.

After the domain was released to GoDaddy and then transferred to Cloudflare, I am unable to recover it. Is there anyone who can assist me in retrieving the domain?

Well, you should review what happens to domains that expire, that's the lifecycle above. Then you should determine where your domain is, is it in auction? Is it available for purchase is it in redemtion?

my client had the domain with FastHost and their card was decline due to the card was stolen and then fasthost release the domain and godaddy got it and now according to the whois it shows cloudflare has the domain

That domain has not expired, in fact it doesn't expire until April 2026. If it's not in your Cloudflare Account (I can see it's using Cloudflare NameServers) than you could have lost the domain.

There is no "getting it back".

But, it looks like there is a website at that domain. Something was updated May 18, 2025. It looks like it's the same website that was there in 2024.

Well no the client got no idea as the person doesnt have the domain at the fasthost or godaddy or at cloudflare and its connected with the client old hosting of the old developer who has been passed away and that namecheap hosting is now connected at the backend.

No. Just to be clear. Cloudflare doesn't "have the domain". The domain is registered with GoDaddy. Cloudlfare is just serving the DNS.

So, you'll need to contact GoDaddy if you want to change who's serving the DNS (right now it is Cloudflare). But, someone will need access to the GoDaddy account. No one here will be able to help you.

Either way, open a ticket with support. No one in a community server is going to have any way to access any accounts, validate your story, and provide you or your client with relief.

I'd start a ticket at GoDaddy to regain control of the domain. Then you can figure out and point it to any DNS provider/service you want.

But to me, it's very clear. Someone, May 18, 2025 made some type of an update to the domain at GoDaddy... so someone did have control of the account with the domain in question.
