I really wonder why w3schools has such better SEO than MDN

Bear in mind that Google also tailors the results based on other factors such as your location, search history etc.
In my case, for the same search term, MDN comes before w3schools.

seniority and mdn being a subdomain have some weight on it too
Id be curious if you and OP are using the same browser too! I wonder if it differs whether youre using FF or chrome. I would assume FF could boost MDN listing's
I think it would be search engine based and not browser, but maybe user agent could factor
left is ingognito, right is mdn... i guess google got used to me adding "mdn" to all of my searches, lol

Amazing how much more important #1 spot is now with AI overviews
w3schools isn't great, but it is more beginner friendly than mdn
