tmodloader failing to launch via Steam

Just downloaded tmodloader and when i try to open it from steam it gets stuck on

I've downloaded .NET 8.0 and can launch the game by manually using starttmodloader in the files but this forces open a command prompt window that will close the tmodloader window if i close that one

If the information in the pinned thread does not solve your issue, please post all log files by dragging and dropping them into this chat. In Steam right click on

tModLoader

tModLoader

in the library, then hover over

Manage

and click on

Browse local files

. In the folder that appears find

tModLoader-Logs

tModLoader-Logs

and open that folder. Inside that folder are the logs files. Select them all except the

i've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling both tmodloader and terraria

, but you shouldn't touch the folder and instead unsubscribe in steam.

Go to the install directory and delete the

dotnet

folder so it can install it again.

still not working through steam but it downloaded fine when i opened it manually again
