Why does this keep happening when installing games through Heroic with Nvidia graphics?

This doesn't happen with an AMD GPU so what's the issue?!

I see what you’re talking about, but in no way would I be considering missing icons to be the subject of a vague support request.

sounds unlikely its gpu dependent, probalby just fails to grab a useful icon

You can edit the .desktop file in ~/.local/share/applications~/.local/share/applications to point to whatever file. Look at what it is trying to set as the icon first and track down that file. It may just be pulling a bad file

At which point, you’d probably want to submit a Heroic log for it

This has happened a few times now. Alwayss the machine with Nvidia GPUs.

sure but these are just image files so probably some other issue those machines share

are the systems the exact OS and DE and versions and everything? only the GPU is different?
