Downloading games using Windows Steam does not seem to work on macos

When downloading a steam game through Windows Steam on Heroic, the disk speed drops to 0 almost immediately. Looking at the folder structure, I can see it has created a folder for the game, but no files are present. It makes no further progress downloading the game. What Ive tried: - Disable Esync - Disable Msync - Give read and write permission to Everyone for all files and folder in the Steam folder.

After waiting a while, the download fails with the error "Content Unavailable"

id just wait a bit for whatever this is to get sorted out im sure someone would figure it out i took this off the kegworks discord, so modify this for heroic but:
In the Safari address bar, type steam://open/console,

Locate your game on steamdb.info and find the App ID,

In the macOS Steam console, run the commands:,

- u/sSteamCmdForcePlatformType windows

- app_install AppIdHere,

When the download completes, navigate to the install location.,

By default, this is ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps,

Locate the app manifest .acf file and the game files under common/,

Also navigate to the the install location for Windows Steam,

By default, this is ~/Applications/Kegworks/YourWrapper.app/Contents/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps,

Move the app manifest file to this location, and put the game files under common/,

Launch Steam through Kegworks.

from what I’m reading the game requires wine 10.x otherwise you won’t get past the menu crossover’s preview gets you the game open but you’ll have some weird input lag
