Controller in Ubisoft Connect game not working (sometimes)

bazzite is working well besides a really bad issue.
i installed ubisoft connect via non steam launchers (NSL). Lutris was not working becaus i always got "this version of ubisoft connect is not up to date."
so i installed assassins creed odyssey. game is working fine so far. but for some reason gamecontroller is not working in game. controlls for steam are still working, but in game only keyboard controlls are working. reconnecting controller does not solve the problem. problem stays for wired and wireless controller.
only thing that works for me ist restarting the game.
i dissabled the steam input, but this didn't work either.
it's really annoying, because sometimes i can play hours without any issues and sometimes after 3 minutes in game the controller does not work.
