My bazzite is having really poor performance and idk why

literally everything is running slower then windows 10 did (I'm new to linux in general) and idk if I installed it wrong or smth cuz I have a decent tower but whenever I boot up games they run at like 2 fps at the start then settle at like 20 fps which makes gaming on this os not very fun and idk if I'm doing smth wrong if anyone can help and needs more info please lmk
Solution:
ok I found out that changing my version of proton from the default steam one helps a lot like I still get stutters but it overall runs better after a little bit at the start

Sharing your system specs as well as the games you're testing would probably help
