VRAM issue
I was wondering if anyone knows how i can change the listed amount of VRAM for my system, it's using proprietary nvidia drivers because it's an old card:
1060 (3gb) however, linux doesn't seem to discern the actual VRAM size atleast according to neofetch + other applications reading VRAM.
Ultimately leading to OOM issues, system crashes .etc i'm mostly just using this laptop to play factorio, but it's seemingly hungry for VRAM despite fiddling with the settings.
and i'm also unable to play other games that lesser/similar hardware can (steam deck, although more vram) without running into out of memory issues...
I'm considering just hopping back over to windows if it's not a treatable fault which saddens me as i had hoped linux would allow me to gradually shift away from michaelsoft's bloat
