Black fog at edge of vanilla render distance (MC 1.21.6)

I am getting a black fog at the edge of the vanilla render distance when I enable Iris shaders. I have tried using Photon, Bliss unstable, Bliss BSPT but they all have the same issue.

The issue is goes away while shaders are turned off.

  • I have tried disabling vanilla fog via Sodium extras to no effect.
  • I have deleted the config files, and created new worlds to no effect.
  • The issue also appears on MC 1.21.7
  • I am on single player.
  • Default resource pack only
Hardware:
  • Nvidia 3080
  • Ryzen 5 5600
  • 32GB memory
