I noticed that discover is no longer available, will other apps on kde be replaced with gtk apps
I am wondering because I noticed that discover and konsole are replaced by gtk apps now.
DI also noticed that the kde disks application is no longer there too
Adiscover are replaced by bazaar, bazzite's flathub GUI
ptyxis is used instead of konsole due to its native container capabilities
KDE partition manager has issues with mounting and GNOME's disks handle stuff better

Abecause i really dont think the dev team just changes stuff for the sake of it, it's usually bc there are issues that affect user's QoL in usage

Awell if you look thru the post & even the bugs.kde.org thread you'll see that it seems that on the kde-side there is little to no interest to add container features
with how distrobox plays its role in atomic fedora, and how useful it is, its a no brainer choice to go for the term that has support for it imo

PIt's not about "classes," it's about prioritizing the apps that are the most functional, and right now a lot of those are GTK apps. There needs to be a base of developers enthusiastic enough about Qt to have a "pure Qt" desktop environment with support for containers, etc.

PThe only stuff hidden in Bazaar is stuff that would actually wreck your setup, like installing Steam flatpak when native already exists

Mit does, it just wasn't built for flatpaks. Bazaar is.
Doh ok, I just wish there are qt versions of these apps so it can go along with plasma theming too
MI kinda like gtk even as a KDE user, so I don't mind. I only switched to KDE because I didn't like using extensions to make the shell more usable for my needs.
Though asking devs to implement both qt and gtk versions of apps would be a serious hassle, it would likely bog down development a fair bit. Not to mention it might confuse less informed users.

HBoth discover and gnome software was not satisfactory when it came to their flatpak implementation, they both had different issues and did dumb stuff, we also could not easily curate things on both.
Bazaar let's us do what we want to do and give users a good experience.
It also let's users know they can support their fav software with donations and hopefully will encourage more devs to package their apps for flatpak.
We don't care what toolkit is used for the application as long as it does the job we need it to do and do it good.

One let's you set up static auto mounts correctly while the other one does not correctly handle mount options.

Calso the problem with KDE partition manager is the fact you can edit your fstab using the extra arguments field and it won't stop you if there's typos
Cand in turn lead people to emergency mode
