Valorant requires a system restart to play and I have tried all fixes
The error comes up (shown in image) and I have run valorant as administrator. Still doesn't work when I restart. I have also tried reinstalling valorant but that didn't work. I did some digging and it appears to be a problem with Vanguard. I tried to go on services.msc on the Run application and then changing vgc from manual to automatic but when I do, it comes up with an error (see image attached). Some people online have also suggested to delete vgkbootstatus.dat but I either do not have the file installed or I just don't know how to find it (and I am searching for it incorrectly or something). Help would be appreciated, more sooner than later. Thanks in advance.

Also I am in a different country in which my riot account was not originally created but I am not sure how that may affect how the game runs, if at all.
;vgc
- Open the Task Manager > Details tab
- End the task on all VALORANT, Riot Client and VANGUARD-related apps/services
- Open the Control Panel > Uninstall a Program
- Uninstall Riot VANGUARD
- Open CMD as Admin and type these commands:
- sc delete vgc
- sc delete vgk
- Navigate to your C: Drive, then Program Files
- Find the VANGUARD folder and delete it
- Open the Riot Client and click update
- Restart your computer after the update
After you’re done with that:
- Press Windows key + R
- Type services.msc
- Look for vgc
- Right-click on vgc > Properties
- Change the startup type to automatic
- Start the services (if not started already)
We will be waiting for your response, thank you.

this came up after i tried to uninstall riot vanguard on revo uninstaller

It’s just to scan to make sure all files are deleted
Did you delete and reinstall from riot client?
@Icarus when tf do u sleep
LMFAOAO😭😭😭
this is what happened after i scanned

i only uninstalled from riot vanguard. i dont think i need uninstalll anything from riot client, right?
Nope, just open riot client and click on update
wdym click on update
After you delete vanguard, it should show update instead of play
In the client
wait what about those 'leftover registry items'
do i delete all of them
Don’t think that matters
Skip that and do the rest steps
i clicked next and tghis came up. do i delete all these

Close that
Open riot client
nah bro i dont think riot vanguard is deleted yet
it still comes up on the control panel and when i go onto riot client it doesnt say update but it comes up with the exact same error
Restart once
And check again
same error
riot vanguard has not been deleted i think some or all of the files need to be uninstalled
but im not sure which ones
These are the logs
Tbh I’ve never seen these steps, when I delete using revo, it deletes directly
not all of them are logs

also now whenever i try to open riot client it asks if i should allow riot client to make any changes to the device

Delete these
Right click on the shortcut > properties > compatibility and Uncheck run as admin
