I use this for announcements now, if you need a place for announcements without a forum
then just add a discord link to the bottom of each post and you're done
I am personally of the opinion that Bazzite needs to finish it's governance before we can make any changes to the forums.
Part of my governance strategy for Bazzite is to create proper roles for folks in Bazzite. At the current moment, I feel like we need to start centralizing our support model more so that we don't have so many places that we are taking in support requests. The only other alternative is to deputize folks to watch each of the locations, but none of that can happen without getting our ducks in a row first.
Have you guys at all looked into the Discord chat integration for Discourse? I'm not sure how smooth or not it would be, but it might help centralize the support.
I have not, do you have a link?

Some of the documentation seems a little split and outdated
the problem is time, people are already complaining that no one is answering questions -- 1.2M views a month, once people start saying bazzite sucks at support it'll be 10x harder to get that back
But it seems they have thread support these days, though I don't know details.
Right, because we don't have people who are responsible for that function.
I definitely want to limit that reputational damage. It used to be much easier to keep up with before, we are experiencing a lot of growing pains.
Also the bigger challenge here is managing folks expectations.
We aren't a company, we don't have an SLA.
I have a todo item for a cayo website but I’m also wondering if we don’t just make use of GitHub wiki
Would have an announcements section and link from the readme
The problem is the wiki succcccccccks.
lol
legit docusaurus is great
I could help you I have to use it at work, once it's setup editing it is just clicking edit on the page
and then commiting to GH
and also, with your target audience ... they could really submit awesome docs
I guess I am trying to convince you that setting up the framework is better long term
like, nothing says pro as fuck like good docs and docusaurus is so good dude. You'll get translations too
Does it work with GitHub site publisher or whatever? Not that it needs to, I have a domain
yeah, actually let's move to the cayo channel
Sorry to derail here
But the context for forums discussion is that I’ve never been active on them, most for major announcements related to uCore/cayo
